Here’s a little beauty. It’s way shorter than all the other Grays boards I own. Superb build quality as are all the Grays boards. This is a lovely size to ride (for a shorty like me). I haven’t seen another one this length, presuming really that it was made for kids (and those challenged in the height department).
The size makes it a lovely ride. The weekend just gone I hit some absolutely amazing waves at Porthcothan just as Storm Brian left us. This board felt lovely bumping from wave to wave. It feels tough, but flexes. It has the lovely transfer logo that you see on so many other Grays products of the 50s/60s and I believe early 70s. Now I have all my Grays boards on the site I will be checking with the lovely guys from Grays on any more info they may have on the boards.
It’s a really beautiful colour and it’s in amazing condition. It’s made with 8mm ply, 11.75 inches wide at the top and 11 inches at the bottom. It’s only 41.5 inches top to bottom. A super ace size, in my opinion. It has a nice rocker that is not too harsh. I have written more about The Grays boards in earlier posts. Please read here for a bit more history. I will be filling in any blanks on production as and when I get it from the guys at Grays.
I really nice board that I will continue to use. Although the next board I put on the site will be my regular ride!
